  • Site plan showing north arrow, adjacent streets, proposed structure location and dimensions, and front/side/rear setback distances
  • Copy of rental agreement or written landowner authorization
  • Copy of title (mobile homes) or proof of HUD compliance (manufactured homes)
  • State of NM water/septic permits, or a copy of the Town of Bernalillo Application for Water and Sewer Services
  • Town of Bernalillo Floodplain Development Permit if the property is located in a floodzone
  • For manufactured homes: Manufactured Housing Division (MHD) Installer License and Installation Permit (MHIP) number, due within 7 days of placement but prior to installation
  • Permit is valid for 30 days from issuance; a mobile/manufactured home skirting inspection is scheduled 30 days from the date of occupancy

Tips

  • Mobile homes (not HUD-certified) cannot be placed within the Town if they are more than 30 years old — manufactured (HUD-certified) homes have no such age limit.
  • The Placement Permit itself is valid for only 30 days from issuance.
  • Proof of utilities (Town water/sewer or private well/septic) is required before a Certificate of Compliance is issued.
  • A Floodplain Development Permit may also be required and must be complete before the Placement Permit will be issued if the property is in a floodzone.
