Solar Panel (PV) Permit in Centerville, Utah

Centerville requires a solar panel (pv) permit for: Structural engineer's letter confirming existing trusses support solar panel loads, indicating wind loads of 140 MPH; Complete set of construction drawings and one-line electrical diagram(s); Roof layout and panel locations meeting clearance-to-peak/hips/valleys/pathways requirements per the adopted International Fire Code (IFC); Complete manufacturer specifications for micro-inverters, modules/panels, disconnect switches, any new AC panelboards, and the supporting racking system; Any detached structure on the property receiving panels must be shown; Plans must be submitted to South Davis Metro Fire Agency (sdmetrofire.gov, Plan Review) for a separate fire plan review, with a $100 fee for the first hour of review, paid before review begins; After fire approval, email the Centerville City Solar Permit Application plus the fire-approved (stamped and dated) plans/specifications to donna.wilkinson@centervilleutah.gov.
