Published scheduling rules
- All inspections are scheduled through the www.mygovernmentonline.org applicant portal — request inspections up to three days in advance if a specific date/time is preferred, per Mapleton's official Building Inspection Summary page. (Residential Building Permit)
- Failure to be ready at a scheduled inspection triggers a $55 re-inspection fee, payable at the City Office (cash, card, or check) before further inspections resume. (Residential Building Permit)
- No distinct fire sprinkler or fire alarm permit/fee was found published for Mapleton: the Community Development Fee Schedule contains zero 'sprinkler,' 'fire alarm,' or 'fire suppression' line items, and the Mapleton City Fire Department's own site (mapleton.org/departments/fire_department) publishes only a Business Fire Inspection scheduling link (new business or business-license-renewal inspections, contact Randy Crowther, 801-400-9826) with no fee schedule attached. Fire suppression/alarm work for commercial construction is understood to route through this Building Permit fee and the Fire Department's inspection process rather than a separately-priced permit; confirm current requirements directly with the Fire Department before budgeting. (Commercial Building Permit)
- All building permit applications and inspection scheduling go through the MyGovernmentOnline (mgoconnect.org) portal — applicants must create an account before applying. (General)
- A $55 Special Inspection / re-inspection fee applies if the site is not ready at a scheduled inspection time; further inspections are held until the fee is paid at the City Office (cash, card, or check). (General)
