Tips
- The Town operates a strict digital-only permitting process — it explicitly states it does not accept paper plans; every step (submittal, approval notice, payment link, signed permit delivery) happens through the iworq portal and email.
- Town Hall (and by extension Building Safety) works a 4-day, 10-hour week: Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm, closed Fridays — factor this into any time-sensitive submittal or inspection scheduling.
- A double permit fee penalty applies if construction is found to have started without a required permit first being issued.
- The Town's adopted codes are one full edition cycle older than several larger neighboring Maricopa County cities (2018 ICC suite vs. many peers' 2024 suite), and the adopted energy code (2006 IECC) is unusually old — verify current adoption status directly with Community Development before relying on this for a specific project, as no dated 're-adoption' or subsequent update to the 2018/2017/2006 code set was found beyond the brochure's own 5/22/2023 revision date.
