Tips
- Mechanical permits are issued directly by the Town of Basalt Building Department, using the same office that handles plumbing — do not confuse this with the separately-administered State of Colorado electrical permit.
- At Basalt's elevation (6,610 feet per the Town's own Local Structural Design Parameters document), confirm your HVAC contractor's Manual J/S calculations account for altitude-adjusted equipment sizing rather than sea-level assumptions.
