Applies to: Residential Building Permit (New Construction / Additions)

    Foundation & Foundation Wall

    After trenches excavated, reinforcement steel placed, forms erected, prior to concrete placement

  2. 2

    Underground Plumbing

    Prior to covering any piping or wiring and prior to placing concrete

  3. 3

    Rough Trade (Plumbing/Mechanical/Electrical)

    After rough installation complete, prior to covering; may be combined with rough frame inspection

  4. 4

    Rough Frame

    After roof, framing, fire stopping, sheathing, draft stopping, bracing, and fasteners are in place

  5. 5

    Insulation

    After insulation placed, prior to covering walls

  6. 6

    Final Inspection

    After the addition/construction is completed

Applies to: Deck / Patio Cover / Carport Permit

    Footing Inspection

    After holes/trenches excavated and reinforcing steel/forms in place, prior to concrete placement

  2. 2

    Framing Inspection

    Rim board/ledger attachment, floor joists, beams, hangers (decks) or roof/truss/rafter attachment (patio covers/carports) prior to finished flooring or ceiling being applied; a rough electrical inspection is called at the same time if electric is being installed for a patio cover/carport
