    Foundation walls and waterproofing before backfill

    Below-Grade Plumbing / Mechanical

    Underground pipes and connections before concrete pour

    Shear Wall

    Shear panels and hold-downs before sheathing covered

  5. 5

    Rough 4-Way

    Interior framing, weather barrier, power-to-panel connection, mechanical rough, plumbing rough, electrical rough, and gas line pressure test — all at once before walls closed

    Final

    All work complete — certificate of occupancy issued upon passing

    Building Inspector Final

    Must have all other applicable department sign-offs completed (temporary or permanent) before this final can be scheduled, per the Gold Card form.

    Must be witnessed by an LCFD fire official prior to scheduling the final inspection.

    Fire Sprinkler Rough-Install Inspection

    Performed after rough-in of the sprinkler system, before it is concealed.

    Final Inspection (24-hour test, 2 visits)

    Combined final fire-system inspection; shared with the fire alarm final inspection if both systems are present on the project.

    Rough-In

    After pipes installed, before walls closed — pressure test required
