Grading Permit in Paradise Valley, Arizona

Paradise Valley requires a grading permit for: Grading permit required for earthwork involving gradient or drainage changes on a property; Legal survey and Grading and Drainage Plan, both prepared by an Arizona Registered Civil Engineer, required; SWPPP and Dust Control Plan required; ADEQ Notice of Intent required if disturbance exceeds one acre; A late permit fee (double the standard permit fee) applies for any grading work performed without first obtaining a grading permit; A separate Haul Permit applies when more than 100 cubic yards of dirt are brought onto or removed from the property. Per the Town's current Building Permit Application Information handout, the Grading Permit fee is $168 for the first 100 cubic yards plus $96 for each additional 100 cubic yards, plus a plan review fee. If more than 100 cubic yards of dirt is also hauled onto or off the property, an additional Excavation Haul Fee of $150 for the first 100 cubic yards plus $96 per additional 100 cubic yards applies.
