  • A fire-department permit is required for all Life Safety Systems (sprinklers, fire alarms) as well as Tenant Finishes/Remodels, New Construction, and other permits required by the currently adopted fire code, per the District's own live Permits page
  • Governed by the District's adopted International Fire Code (2018 edition, re-adopted by District Resolution in 2021) plus the current editions of NFPA 13/13R/13D (building fire sprinklers) and NFPA 72 (fire alarms), and the District's own Life Safety Policy (SOG 1407, 2024)
  • Permit fees are due at time of application, payable by electronic check or credit card (3% surcharge applies to card payments); if work starts before a permit is obtained, the permit fee is doubled
