Tips
- Rathdrum requires a signed Owner/Lessee Consent for Required Permit Inspections form on all new Building Permit applications as of 6/23/2026 — factor this extra step into your submittal packet.
- Mechanical work is never included in the Building Permit — it always requires a separate Mechanical Permit submittal, per the City's own checklists.
- Electrical and plumbing permits are not available through Rathdrum's BS&A portal at all — apply through the State of Idaho DOPL directly.
- No published review-timeline figure exists for Rathdrum residential permits (unlike neighboring Hayden's published 'up to 1 month') — confirm current turnaround directly with the Building Department before planning a project schedule.
