EV Charger / EVSE Permit in Syracuse, Utah
Syracuse does not publish a distinct EV-charger/EVSE fee category, and its Consolidated Fee Schedule's Building section publishes no separate standalone Electrical Permit fee at all. All Building Department trade work — including EV charger/EVSE installation (a dedicated circuit and/or panel work) — is billed under the single General Building Valuation table in the Plan Check Fees section. This was confirmed by a direct read of the Building section (pages 1-2 of the Consolidated Fee Schedule, approved 06-09-2026, effective July 1, 2026), which lists Bond Fees, Plan Check Fees (including the General Building Valuation table), Pools/Tubs/Spas, Residential Solar Panels, Accessory Structures, Impact Fees, Connection Fees, Inspection Fees, and Sign Permit Fees — with no separate electrical or EV-specific line item anywhere in that section.

Tips
- Syracuse has no separate EV-charger fee category and no standalone Electrical Permit fee — EV/EVSE installations are billed under the same General Building Valuation table used for all other building/trade work.
- Confirm current project valuation with the Building Department before applying, since the fee is tiered by building value rather than a flat EV-specific charge.
- A 1% state surcharge and applicable plan check fee (40% residential / 65% commercial) apply on top of the base valuation fee.
