When you need this permit

  • Submit through the Citizen Access portal: under the Planning tab, select Create an Application and choose the Sign Permit option
  • Provide accurate property address (with correct suite number if applicable), current licensed Sign/Electrical/General contractor information, and a sign/project cost or valuation
  • Documentation of Property Manager/Property Owner authorization for the sign (a letter, a signed contractor authorization form, or sign details signed by the owner/property manager)
  • Sign details: building elevations showing the new sign on the building; sign type, illumination type, and dimensions (total sign height and width); sign cross-section; footing details for ground signs; complete description of sign materials and finishes
  • Engineering is required for ground signs over 7 feet tall
