Tips
- Level 1 and Level 2 EV chargers plugged into or wired to an existing/new outlet typically need only a permit, not a full plan submission -- Level 3 (commercial-grade, fast) chargers are the ones requiring full plan review.
- Rooftop solar installers must remember the POST-installation Residential Solar Installation Certification -- this is a separate compliance step from the permit/inspection process, with its own 6-month upload deadline and violation risk.
- Electricians performing solar certifications must hold BOTH a current Commerce City contractor license and a State of Colorado journeyman/master electrician license. Contractor
