    Mechanical, electrical, plumbing rough-ins before walls closed

    Insulation

    Insulation and vapor barrier before drywall

  5. 5

    Final

    All work complete, smoke/CO detectors installed, address posted, ready for occupancy

Applies to: Commercial Building Permit

    Foundation / Footing

    Before concrete pour — verify excavation, forms, rebar, and anchor bolts

  2. 2

    Underground / Rough-In (MEP)

    Before backfill and before closing walls or ceilings

  3. 3

    Framing

    After framing, sheathing, and rough-in mechanical/electrical/plumbing — before insulation or wall cover

  4. 4

    Fire Sprinkler / Fire Alarm

    Included in the Fire Department's Commercial Fire Sprinkler/Alarm System Plan Review fee (3 inspections included in the base fee)

    Final

    All work complete — certificate of occupancy issued upon passing
