Applies to: Residential Building Permit

   Building

   Physical inspections are contracted to Sunrise Engineering; schedule via the City Inspect portal (pleasantview.cityinspect.com) or by calling Sunrise Engineering at 1-800-560-6151, per Pleasant View's official Permits and Inspections pages.

   Electrical

   Electrical inspection performed as part of the combined building inspection process; flat $75.00 inspection fee per the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

3. 3

   Plumbing

   Plumbing inspection; flat $75.00 inspection fee per the Consolidated Fee Schedule. Water and sewer lateral inspections are scheduled directly with the City Office (801-782-8529), not through Sunrise Engineering.

   Mechanical/Gas

   Mechanical/Gas Administration inspection; flat $75.00 fee per the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

   Final

   Approved building plans must be on the job site at time of each and every inspection, per Pleasant View's official Permits page. Work must commence within 6 months of permit issuance, and the permit remains open only as long as inspections and work continue at least every 6 months.

Applies to: Commercial Tenant Improvement / Tenant Finish Permit

   Framing / Fire-Rated Assembly

   Wall construction and any fire-rated/occupancy separation assemblies verified before close-in; scheduled via City Inspect (pleasantview.cityinspect.com) or Sunrise Engineering (1-800-560-6151).

   MEP Rough-In

   Electrical, mechanical/gas, and plumbing rough-in verified against submitted plans; flat $75.00 inspection fee per trade per the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

   Final

   Approved building plans must be on-site at time of every inspection, per Pleasant View's official Permits page.

Applies to: Solar PV / Solar Panel Installation Permit

   Building / Structural (racking and roof or ground-mount attachment)

   Verifies the solar array's mounting/racking structural attachment; scheduled via City Inspect (pleasantview.cityinspect.com) or Sunrise Engineering (1-800-560-6151), per Pleasant View's official Inspections page.

2. 2

   Electrical

   Verifies the solar interconnection wiring and equipment; flat $75.00 inspection fee per the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

3. 3

   Final

   Approved building plans must be on the job site at time of each and every inspection, per Pleasant View's official Permits page.

Applies to: Certificate of Occupancy / Change of Use (Business License Route)

   Fire Department Inspection

   Scheduled with the North View Fire Marshal (801-782-8159); required for most business license types (Contractor, Wholesale & Professional, Preschool/Day Care, General/Retail, Storage Units) per the official Business License Application.

   Safety Inspection (new applicants only)

   Performed by the City's contracted building inspector, Sunrise Engineering (800-560-6151); marked as required for new applicants only on the official Business License Application, consistent with verifying occupancy/use compliance when a use changes.

Applies to: Fire Alarm System Permit

   Fire Marshal Plan Review / System Test

   Alarm system design reviewed, and completed installation tested/accepted, by North View Fire District's Fire Marshal (801-782-8159); no standardized submittal or inspection-scheduling process is published on the District's website.

   Electrical

   Electrical inspection of alarm wiring/circuits scheduled via City Inspect (pleasantview.cityinspect.com) or Sunrise Engineering (1-800-560-6151); flat $75.00 inspection fee per the Consolidated Fee Schedule.

Applies to: Fire Sprinkler / Fire Suppression System Permit

   Fire Marshal Plan Review / System Test

   Sprinkler system plans and installation reviewed, inspected, and tested by North View Fire District's Fire Marshal (801-782-8159); no standardized submittal or inspection-scheduling process is published on the District's website.

   Building (where sprinkler work is part of a larger permit)

   Where sprinkler work is part of a larger building permit, standard Building/Final inspections via Sunrise Engineering (1-800-560-6151) also apply, per Pleasant View's official Inspections page.

   Sewer/Water Lateral

   For water or sewer lateral inspections, contact the City Office directly at 801-782-8529 (not Sunrise Engineering), per Pleasant View's official Permits page.

Applies to: Sign Permit

   Footing (freestanding/pole/monument signs)

   Verify concrete foundation for self-supporting freestanding sign structures before completion, per § 18.29.180.D.

   Final

   Verify completed sign matches approved permit — construction standards, clearance, and (if applicable) electrical.

Final inspection only: Electrical Permit, EV Charger / EVSE Permit, Mechanical / HVAC Permit, Re-Roof Permit (2nd or 3rd Layer)
