EV Charger / EVSE Permit in Park City, Utah
Park City has no distinct, codified EV charger/EVSE permit type or fee line item — EV charger installation is electrical work billed under the city's standard Electrical Permit (1.32% of construction valuation, plus 1% state surcharge), per the Park City Fee Schedule effective October 20, 2025. Park City's Environmental Sustainability office has separately advertised (via an archived 'Electric Vehicle Charger Incentives' outreach page) that building permit fees for EV charging equipment are waived, but this waiver is NOT reflected in the currently effective codified Fee Schedule, which only excludes on-site renewable energy systems (solar PV, ground source heat pumps, solar hot water) from the building-permit valuation base — not EV chargers.
