Tips
- North Logan uses a strict two-step process: Zoning Clearance MUST be granted before a Building Permit application can even be submitted — apply for Zoning Clearance via the CivicReview portal (app.civicreview.com) first, then upload the approval letter to the CityInspect portal (nlogan.cityinspect.com) for the Building Permit.
- North Logan's Chief Building Official, Darrin Hancey, also serves as Hyde Park City's Chief Building Official — both cities share the same phone number, (435) 563-6507, and Hancey's email is darrin.h@hpcutah.gov. Despite this shared staffing arrangement, North Logan issues its own permits independently through its own CityInspect portal and does not route permits through Hyde Park or Cache County — Cache County's own Building Department confirms it does not issue permits for incorporated cities including North Logan.
- Electrical, GenerLink, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Repair permits are exempt from the Zoning Clearance requirement and can be applied for directly.
- A separate Encroachment Permit (via CivicReview) is required for any work within the public right-of-way.
- North Logan requires 24-hour advance notice before any concrete pour for curb, gutter, or sidewalk work.
