- Pole or ground-mounted panels: site plan showing panel location, dimensions to property lines, dimensions to other structures/easements, and an engineered footing design
- One-line wiring diagram required: system type (stand-alone/grid-tied/hybrid), conductor sizes/insulation/material, conduit sizes/type, overcurrent protective device ratings, existing/new panel amperage ratings, PV production meter rating, AC disconnect rating, and module series/parallel configuration
- Product listing sheets required for all equipment (modules, inverters, batteries, combiner boxes, disconnects, charge controllers, racking system), including module short-circuit current and open-circuit voltage ratings, inverter output circuit current rating and UL listing, method of grounding, and DC Arc-Fault Protection per NEC Article 690.11
- All Solar PV inspections (rough electrical, rough frame, final electrical, final building and electrical service) must be scheduled for the same day; the contractor must be on site with Town-stamped plans and the signed Solar PV Rooftop Installation Affidavit; inspector needs attic access; a solar rapid-shutdown test is performed at this time
- A separate Detach-Reattach Solar Photovoltaic Affidavit is required when removing/reinstalling an existing array (e.g., for a reroof)
