Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger / EVSE Permit in North Las Vegas, Nevada

The City of North Las Vegas does not issue a separate EV charger permit type. Installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) — Level 1 or Level 2 chargers — is permitted as electrical work under the City's standard Electrical Permit. NLV Municipal Code Table 3-B (15.72.240), the same fee table used for all electrical permits, contains a specific line item for "Special purpose outlet (ceiling fan, EV outlet, barbecue, etc.)" billed per outlet, in addition to the flat administrative fee charged on every electrical permit. All work must comply with the 2023 NEC with Southern Nevada and NLV local amendments (effective January 5, 2026).
