- Saratoga Springs Building Department is fully paperless — all submittals and re-submittals go through the CityWorks public portal (cityworks.saratogaspringscity.com/publicaccess/login), effective January 1, 2024.
- A non-refundable deposit ($200 single-family / $500 multi-family or commercial) is required with every application and is applied toward the final permit cost.
- Professional (Utah-licensed engineer or architect) plans are required for 4+ unit buildings, new commercial buildings, commercial remodels over 3,000 sq ft, and any structural-change project.
- Office hours are Mon–Thu 7 AM–6 PM and Fri 8 AM–5 PM, with only limited inspections available on Fridays.
