Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in Bountiful, Utah
Bountiful City allows both internal and detached ADUs. Internal ADUs are reviewed and approved by City Staff. Detached ADUs are a conditional use requiring Bountiful City Administrative Committee approval prior to the building permit. Apply through Cityinspect.

- Utah HB 82 (2021) requires cities to allow internal ADUs and may reduce or waive impact fees — confirm current impact fee treatment with Building Dept at (801) 298-6125.
