EV Charger / EVSE Permit in Nunn, Colorado
The Town of Nunn does not publish a dedicated EV charger/EVSE permit type. Installation of a Level 2 EV charger is permitted under the Town's standard Electrical Permit, administered on the Town's behalf by its contracted plan-review/inspection provider, SAFEbuilt. As with all electrical work in Nunn, the Town verifies the installing electrician's Colorado DORA state electrical license before accepting the application (per C.R.S. 12-115-120(1)/(10), HB19-1086) — Nunn has no local electrical contractor licensing program of its own. The Town's 2026 Fee Schedule publishes a general two-tier Building Permit Admin Fee ($75 plan-review / $50 One Stop) plus a 2% Use Tax, but names no EV-specific line item, so no EV-specific dollar figure can be verified.

When you need this permit
- Electrical permit application must list the electrician's Colorado DORA state electrical license number; the Town verifies it is active before accepting the application
- Governed by the National Electrical Code as adopted by reference in Nunn Municipal Code 15.04.040 (codified as the 2002 edition, though SAFEbuilt's current operational submittal guidance references the 2020 NEC — an unresolved discrepancy)
- If the electrician performing the work changes before final inspection, the Town must be notified and will re-verify the new electrician's license
- No EV-specific permit category, application, or dedicated fee line item is published by the Town of Nunn as of 2026-07-23 (the Town's general two-tier Building Permit Admin Fee structure applies instead — see fees below)

The Town of Nunn's 'Fee Schedule, Effective January 22nd, 2026' (PDF, linked from the Town homepage) establishes exactly two Building-Permit Admin Fee tiers Town-wide: 'Admin Fee (permits requiring plan review) $75.00' and 'Admin Fee (One Stop permits-re-roof, hot water heater etc.) $50.00', plus 'Use Tax on all Building Permits 2%'. The schedule does not name EV chargers or a generic 'electrical permit' under either tier, so which flat fee applies is not Town-published; both real figures are given here. This is the Town Clerk's own flat component only — charged in addition to SAFEbuilt's separate valuation-based fee, which is not published as a table.Review timeline

- Nunn has no dedicated EV charger permit or EV-specific fee line item; the installation is billed and processed as a standard Electrical Permit through the Town's contracted provider, SAFEbuilt, under the Town's general $75/$50 Building Permit Admin Fee structure plus 2% Use Tax.
